School Safety Desk
The School Safety Desk helps schools and colleges protect students who apply to study abroad. It is a pilot and free while we test it. Every student keeps free access to TaleemParakh whether or not their school joins.
What the desk offers
- A one hour scam prevention session for students and parents, with a printable checklist.
- A counsellor toolkit: the 14 TaleemParakh guides, a quiz with answers and a short training plan.
- Institution checks on the official UK and Australian registers, the same free checks every student can use.
- Anonymised reports of the scam messages and payment warning signs seen, with counts below 10 never shown.
What the desk never offers
- Any student's case, documents or results. Schools never see them.
- Rankings, endorsements or a badge for any university or consultant.
- Any influence over a finding. A school, sponsor or donor can never change, hide or speed up a result.
How it is funded
- During the pilot there is no charge. If schools later pay for the desk, that money would be used to pay for reviewers and safeguarding, which are plans and not yet in place, so that students stay free.
